The Makita 18 Volt Lithium-Ion rapid optimum charger can charge two batteries simultaneously thus saving both time and space for the user. This charger can charge up to two 2 Amp-hour batteries in 25 minutes， two 3 Amp-hour batteries in 30 minutes， two 4 Amp-hour batteries in 40 minutes， two 5 Amp-hour batteries in 45 minutes and two 6 Amp-hour batteries in 55 minutes. Built-in chip in the battery helps in easy communication with the charger to maximize battery life by controlling current， voltage and temperature. Built-in fan of the charger cools down the battery in case of excess heat to prolong the battery's life.
